Compounded tirzepatide

Lean Meds review

For $129 a month, Lean Meds bundles compounded tirzepatide with the telehealth visits, supplies and free delivery. The price is the same at every dose. Know one thing before you pay: every Lean Meds payment is final, and only a provider's medical disqualification brings any of it back.

Who it suits

Good fit if

  • You'd like to know which pharmacies might fill your vial. Lean Meds names four of them in its FAQ.
  • You plan to climb through the doses and want the bill to stay at $129 while you do.
  • You'd use a care coach and a registered nutritionist, both included with the plan.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want the option of a refund if you change your mind after paying.
  • You want insurance to pay. Lean Meds is self-pay, though an FSA card works.

What you get

The monthly plan covers the consultation, your care plan, the tirzepatide if it's prescribed, injection supplies, shipping and support. Lean Meds prints "same price, every dose" across its site, so moving up the ladder doesn't change the bill. Longer 3-, 6- and 12-month terms cost a little less per month.

Lean Meds is the platform, not the prescriber. Clinicians at OpenLoop Healthcare Partners review your answers and decide on treatment. Prescriptions go to state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies: RedRock Pharmacy in Utah, Health Warehouse in Kentucky, Precision Medicine in New York and Triad Rx in Alabama.

Support runs around the clock, and check-ins with your care team are unlimited. The FAQ says the membership is open in all 50 states, with a provider licensed where you live.

How it works

  1. Start the free online assessment. It asks about your health, your weight and your goals.
  2. An OpenLoop provider reviews it. Depending on your state, that happens by live video or phone, or as a written review.
  3. If tirzepatide is right for you, the prescription goes to a partner pharmacy. Lean Meds puts processing and delivery at about 4 to 5 business days.
  4. The vial arrives by free tracked shipping. Message your care team whenever a question comes up.
  5. Cancel by phone, email or the portal. Get the request in at least 72 hours before your next billing date.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • The tirzepatide price holds at $129 from the first dose to the highest, under the "same price, every dose" promise.
  • Lean Meds names its pharmacies, including RedRock Pharmacy in St. George, Utah.
  • A 1:1 care coach and a U.S. licensed registered nutritionist come with every Lean Meds plan.

Cons

  • Lean Meds' refund policy calls every payment final, even if you never finish the intake.
  • A cancellation made inside 72 hours of the billing date still triggers that month's charge.
  • The discounted 12-month term is one purchase, and Lean Meds won't refund unused months.

Check before you pay

Renewal wording
The homepage says "No auto rebill," yet the plan page lists a monthly billing cycle and the refund policy talks about billing dates. Ask support how your plan renews before you check out.
If a provider turns you down
A medical disqualification cancels the plan and refunds the unused part. Anything already done, such as the provider's review, is taken out of that refund first.
Prepaid terms
The 3-, 6- and 12-month plans are sold as one indivisible purchase. Canceling one stops the next renewal but returns nothing for months you don't use.

Lean Meds questions

Is Lean Meds legit?
Lean Meds is a telehealth platform. Prescribing is done by clinicians at OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, and named 503A compounding pharmacies fill the orders. The tirzepatide is compounded, so it isn't Zepbound or Mounjaro and has no FDA approval, which Lean Meds states on every page.
How much is Lean Meds tirzepatide per month?
$129 a month on the monthly plan, at any dose. That covers visits, medication, supplies and shipping. Lean Meds' compounded semaglutide is $79 a month.
Does Lean Meds take insurance?
No. It's a self-pay membership and doesn't need insurance. The site says it's FSA eligible.
Can you cancel Lean Meds?
Yes, at any time, through the portal or by contacting support. Do it at least 72 hours before your billing date to stop the next charge. Money already paid isn't refunded.
