Compounded tirzepatide
OrderlyMeds review
The $149 a month on OrderlyMeds' tirzepatide page is a two-month starter pack for new patients, paid up front and limited to the lowest dose. After that the standard plan is $299 a month. There's no membership fee, and the price doesn't climb with your dose.
Who it suits
Good fit if
- You're new to tirzepatide and can pay for two months at once to get the starter rate.
- You plan to titrate up, since OrderlyMeds charges the same at every dose.
- You'd rather talk to a prescriber by text chat than book a video appointment.
Look elsewhere if
- You're already on a GLP-1 and hoped for the starter price. Transfers pay more, and returning patients pay $299.
- You're in a hurry. OrderlyMeds says it can't expedite orders.
What you get
Each month's price covers the prescriber's visit, the compounded tirzepatide, syringes, alcohol pads and shipping. OrderlyMeds says there are no membership fees and no setup costs. Depending on your health screening, the prescriber may add B6 or B12 to the formula.
The vials come from 503A compounding pharmacies, and OrderlyMeds names them in its FAQ: PerfectRx, ProRx, Casa, Pharmacy Hub and SmartPharmaRx. You can pay with a credit card or an HSA or FSA card. OrderlyMeds also sells brand-name Zepbound, at a far higher monthly price.
Buying includes some extras. You get a free month of BetterHelp therapy, a fitness and nutrition app, dietitian meal plans and a private Facebook group for patients.
How it works
- Check your eligibility online, pick tirzepatide and a plan, fill out the health screening and pay.
- A licensed provider reviews it and messages you in the patient portal, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Some states, including Louisiana, Kansas and West Virginia, require a live video visit.
- Once the prescription is written, a partner pharmacy compounds and ships it within 2 to 3 days. OrderlyMeds' FAQ puts arrival at 8 to 10 business days after sign-up.
- Before each refill you get a check-in reminder by text and email. You report how you feel and can ask to stay at your dose or go up.
- The medical team writes the new prescription and you're charged when you request the refill.
Pros and cons
Pros
- OrderlyMeds' FAQ says every dose costs the same, so moving up the dose ladder doesn't raise the $299 monthly charge.
- The five partner pharmacies are named in the FAQ, all 503A compounding pharmacies.
- If the provider turns you down, OrderlyMeds says it refunds your payment in full.
Cons
- The $149 starter rate needs two months paid at once and applies only to new patients on the lowest dose.
- Once the prescriber writes your prescription, OrderlyMeds won't let you cancel that order.
- The FDA sent OrderlyMeds a warning letter in June 2026 over false or misleading claims.
Check before you pay
- Starter, transfer or monthly
- The starter pack is for people new to GLP-1s. If you already take one, you're offered the transfer program or the regular monthly plan. Check which one your checkout shows before paying.
- The price after the starter pack
- One answer in OrderlyMeds' FAQ still quotes the starter rate for month-to-month buyers. The product page and the pricing page both put the regular plan at $299 a month, so budget for that.
- When you can cancel
- You can cancel up to the moment the doctor finalizes your prescription, unless you chose a multi-month plan. After that the order goes ahead.
- Delivery time
- Allow up to two weeks for the first box. The pharmacy says the medication stays potent for 72 hours in transit, but refrigerate it when it arrives.
- FDA warning letter
- FDA sent OrderlyMeds a warning letter in June 2026. Read what it covers.
